I don't use the 64-bit edition of XP because there's been too many reports of bizzare problems with 32-bit applications (even ones from Microsoft, such as MSN Messenger). But, with that said, I recommend both of the above posters read this thread...

I can confirm the OP's problem. I can also confirm that most text-wrapping problems in chat can be alleviated by following Kungfutse's recommendation. Besides, the inline avatars make the chat ugly. :-)

I *highly* doubt the amount of RAM used by the client has anything to do with the topic of this thread. There is another thread on this forum labelled "Memory leak" or something along those lines which is likely what you folks are experiencing.
